SO SAD: You Would Never Engage In Drinking Competition Again After Reading This [MUST READ]

Drinking competition at a funeral has sent a 25-year-old man, Famous Ogbeide to an early grave while two others have been hospitalised in a Benin hospital, Edo state.

According to The Nation report, Vincent and three others had engaged in an alcoholic drinking contest which was initiated by one of the youths at the funeral of their friend’s father.

They were drinking different brands of hot drinks and the deceased had emerged winner in the first and second rounds of the contest but unfortunately, he couldn’t get the prize of N4,000 as he died in the hospital.

He reportedly collapsed by the roadside after consuming the drink.

One of the victims, who is hospitalized was said to have pulled out of the competition when he began to cough and vomit.

According to the mother of the deceased, her son told her he was attending a funeral of his friend’s father, adding that his father died last December.

The organizer of the funeral party who was said to have arrived Nigeria from Malaysia the day before has been arrested by police.

Confirming the case, the Police spokesperson DSP Joseph Edoigiawerie said the case was being handled by the homicide department of the state police command headquarters, Benin City.
