AGAIN: Fani-Kayode Blasts Amaechi, Calls His Father ‘A Palm Wine-Tapping Peasant

Fani-Kayode Blasts Amaechi And His Father

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, the Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation, is at it again. In a recent Facebook post he has blasted River State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and called his father “a palm wine-tapping peasant”.

Fani-Kayode made the statement responding to Amaechi’s comments at a town hall meeting in Abuja.
“I hear that Rotimi Amaechi was talking about my father and his father today at the APC town hall meeting in Abuja.
The difference between his father and my father is that his father was a palm wine-tapping peasant whilst mine was the man that successfully moved the motion for Nigeria’s independence. The difference is clear,” the statement read.
It is worth mentioning that the same day Fani-Kayode called on the nation’s Department of State Security Service and security agencies to arrest and question Rotimi Amaechi as well as Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National leader of the opposition party.

According to the PDP campaign director, it became imperative to arrest and question the APC leaders over the existence of an illegal radio station called “APC Radio or “Radio Chanji”, which is used to turn Nigerians against Goodluck Jonathan.
A week earlier, Fani-Kayode also criticised Amaechi saying he had betrayed his own people by failing to become Muahammadu Buhari’s running mate for the upcoming presidential elections.
The governor of Rivers state has not reacted to the accusations as now he is concerned about lives and safety of the APC members and supporters in the state. Speaking at a news conference in  Port Harcourt, Amaechi announced that 30 members of the party were harrassed and killed.
