Sultan Finally Receives PVC, Urges Politicians To Play By The Rules

The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, finally collected his Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) on Thursday at his palace with a call to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to ensure that all eligible voters in the state get their cards before the February 14 and 28 general elections.

The sultan, who was given his card by the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Sokoto State, Alhaji Sadik Musa, expressed joy over the timely production of the card.

Abubakar also urged politicians to play politics devoid of violence and mudslinging.

The INEC commissioner in a brief remark, said 1.3 million out of the 1.4 million cards released to the state had been collected.
