Popular Nollywood Actor Muna Obikwe Is Dead

 

The announcement of his death this evening threw social media into a frenzy, Nigerians especially his fans who were yet to come to terms with the death were confronted by a tweet from a supposedly account of the deceased bearing the name Muna Obiekwe

The imposter managing the account tweeted that he is alive and well, a tweet which reassured his worried fans but the sad news is that Muna is gone and gone forever and his corpse is lying cold in the morgue as I type this

According to a source I spoke to this evening in the midst of the confusion that heralded the announcement, Muna collapsed this afternoon and was confirmed dead on arrival when he was rushed to a hospital at Festac Lagos

I later placed a call to the President Of Actor Guild Of Nigeria(AGN)Ibinabo Fiberesima who confirmed his sad passage

The AGN president Ibinabo Fiberesima it in a phone conversation with yours sincerely said:

“Yes, he is truly dead, i have spoken to his wife…He was a private person, he didn’t tell us he had problems so there was no way we could have helped….please i can’t disclose much information for now” she said

The renowned actor passed on today in Festac after a silent battle with Kidney disease.He was rushed to the hospital after a relapse and didn’t make it.

Unconfirmed reports further reveal that the death is directly linked to his financial state. Muna, reportedly could not afford his medical procedures due to his poor finances, and had plans to put together a stage play for fundraising. He rejected the opportunity to go public with his condition, and seek support from concerned people.
