The residents of Askira, Wamdiyo in Borno have reported that a militant Islamist Boko Haram group invaded the community since yesterday.
They have called on the Federal Government to as a matter of necessity proclaim total emergency rule in the Northeast to weed out insurgents who are at this time invading towns and villages in southern Borno, killing people and capturing many territories.
Thousands who escaped Borno state and could not find a place at the Internally Displaced Persons Camps have resorted to taking shelter at finished buildings with their families.
Latest reports informed that the Nigerian army has recaptured Mubi town in Adamawa State, northern Nigeria from the Boko Haram terrorists.
