Man Arrested After Being Caught Having Z exual Relations With his Male Roommate [See More]

A man was arrested on charges of illegal sexual relations after allegedly having sex with his male roommate, police in Nigeria said.

Lagos State Police said that they arrested 29-year-old Uchenna Maduakor, after he was accused of homosexuality. Maduakor was accused of having illegal sex with Veneginus Onyelu, in his one bedroom apartment located at 5a Ojo-Oba Street.

The suspect and his lover share the apartment with two other people. The two other residents of the home witnessed the act, which occurred about 2:00 a.m., and reported them to the police.

Onyelu was not charged as he was asleep while his lover had sex with him, police said. Maduakor pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Maduakor told the court he was drunk that night, and he does not remember what if anything happened. Maduakor was booked into jail, and his bail was set at N100,000 ($609).
